Overview

TopicalRank is a full-stack AI content strategy platform that builds complete topic clusters for search dominance. Instead of optimizing one page at a time like traditional SEO tools, it generates an interconnected cluster - a pillar article plus 8-10 supporting pieces - covering a niche comprehensively. From keyword research through brief generation to published article, every step is AI-driven with quality gates at each stage.

The Challenge

Existing SEO tools like Clearscope, MarketMuse, and Surfer SEO optimize single pages in isolation. They miss the bigger picture: establishing topical authority through interconnected content. Teams spend weeks manually researching keywords, writing briefs, and producing articles - with no systematic way to ensure comprehensive coverage or prevent content cannibalization across their cluster.

The Solution

We built a four-phase AI pipeline. Phase one uses DataForSEO for keyword intelligence with a custom MMR diversity algorithm and per-subtopic research isolation to prevent volume bias. Phase two analyzes the top 30 SERP competitors per keyword and generates AI-driven content briefs with entity alignment and internal linking. Phase three generates articles section-by-section using Claude Sonnet with streaming support, entity preservation, and real-time content scoring. Phase four provides site audit capabilities with AI visibility analysis for ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google AI Overviews.
